Warrant Division Arrests 1st Degree Assault Suspect



Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Alvaro Turjillo on a First Degree Assault warrant obtained by County Police District I detectives on November 29, 2012.

According to the warrant, on November 10, 2012 Trujillo allegedly forced his way into an ex-girlfriend’s home in the 4400 block of 40th Street in Hyattsville, MD by shattering a front bedroom window. The warrant further states that Trujillo kicked in a bathroom door to gain access to the ex-girlfriend and another woman, and that he assaulted the two before fleeing the home.

Deputies investigating Trujillo’s whereabouts were led to the 5000 block of Rhode Island Ave in Hyattsville, MD where Trujillo was located and arrested without incident. He was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is being held. District I detectives were notified of the arrest.

Trujillo is also charged with First Degree Burglary, Second Degree Assault, two counts of Malicious Destruction of Property, and Reckless Endangerment.
