Deputies Investigation leads to surrender of Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the surrender Tuesday of Marcus C. Evans on an arrest warrant for Attempted Murder, obtained by County Police District IV detectives on December 12, 2012.

According to the warrant, Evans was in the 4300 block of 23rd Place in Temple Hills, MD, on December 11, 2012, when he pointed a gun at a male victim and demanded his shoes. The victim attempted to fight off the attack before being shot by Evans, subsequently having his shoes stolen. 

Deputies investigating Evans’ whereabouts conducted several interviews of witnesses and checked several residences throughout Washington, D.C. and Prince George’s County. Deputies also communicated with several associates and family members of Evans, and eventually negotiated his surrender to County Police District IV detectives on Tuesday.

Evans is charged with First and Second Degree Attempted Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Use of a Handgun in Commission of a Felony Crime, Armed Robbery and Robbery.
