Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Burglary Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Tuesday of Damien Wilkes, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Burglary obtained by County Police District IV detectives on January 4, 2013.
 
According to the warrant, Wilkes broke into a residence in the 500 block of Wilson Bridge Dr. in Oxon Hill, MD, on November 6, 2012.  Wilkes allegedly stole $6,950.00 worth of property and caused $650.00 worth of damage to the residence. Police detectives linked the victim’s stolen money order to Wilkes, and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Wilkes were led to a residence in the 8400 block of Indian Head Hwy. in Fort Washington, MD, where he was located and arrested without incident.

District IV Detectives were notified of the arrest and Wilkes was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Third Degree Burglary, Felony Theft and Destruction of Property.
