Deputies Arrest 1st Degree Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Shakera Tooks of Temple Hills, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by the Prince George’s County Police Department on September 27, 2014.

According to the warrant, on September 27th, Tooks allegedly threw scalding water on a relative following an argument at a residence in the 2800 block of 31st Avenue in Temple Hills, MD. Tooks fled prior to police arrival.

After receiving the warrant on September 30th, Deputies began an investigation into Tooks’ whereabouts. On October 3rd, Tooks turned herself in to Warrant and Fugitive Deputies. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Tooks is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
