A tip leading to Gandy’s arrest was received by the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers, Inc tip line and directed to the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies investigated one of two addresses provided, which led to Gandy’s arrest in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street in Glenarden, Maryland.
The Prince George’s County warrant for Gandy issued in November 2011 was for Violation of Probation, Theft over $500.00.
“This is a great example of information that exists in communities and which can impact the public’s safety. Crime Solvers is an outstanding partner and continues to facilitate cooperation and communications between law enforcement and citizens,” said Chief Assistant Sheriff Darrin Palmer. “It’s a partnership model that works and we are thankful for the good tip,” he said.
Gandy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections where he is currently being held. The Prince George’s County Crime Solvers can be reached at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
