Five Warrants Closed in Arrest of Theft Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Tuesday of Richard Kevin Lee on a Felony Theft warrant obtained on May 7, 2012 by Prince George’s County Police (PGPD) Special Enforcement Division (S.E.D.) detectives.

According to the warrant, Lee conducted transactions at two area pawn shops over a three day period, March 8-10, 2012, pawning jewelry items that were alleged to have been stolen during a residential burglary in Calvert County.

Deputies investigating Lee’s whereabouts were led to the residence of his estranged wife in the 12400 block of Sandal Lane in Bowie, MD where Lee was located hiding in an upstairs bedroom and apprehended without incident.  Lee’s wife was also arrested, charged with Harboring a Felon/Fugitive and False Statement to a Peace Officer after repeatedly telling deputies she had not seen Lee and he was not in the house.  Both were transported to the Prince George’s County Correctional Center.  S.E.D. detectives were notified of Mr. Lee’s arrest.

In addition to the Theft warrant, four other warrants were closed, including Failure to Appear (FTA) – Assault Second Degree, Violation of Probation – Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance, FTA – Disorderly Conduct and a Calvert County warrant for FTA – Burglary First Degree.
