Upper Marlboro, MD… The
Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff’s Domestic Violence Intervention
Division (DVID) reported the arrest early this morning of Connie Davis for
First Degree Assault in a domestic related dispute with a male victim. DVID
deputies responded to an emergency domestic violence call in the 1100 block of
Chapel Wood Lane in Capitol Heights, Maryland where Davis and the victim lived.
Deputies made contact with the male victim who
indicated that Davis, his girlfriend, had hit
him in the face with a plate earlier and that a physical altercation had
occurred between the two. The victim was later treated at the Prince George’s
Hospital Center for minor injuries.
Davis, who appeared to have fled a fire in the home,
was located a short distance from the residence. She was taken into custody and
transported to the Prince George’s County Correctional Center where she is
being held on a $125,000.00 bond.
Deputies learned later that prior to their arrival a
simultaneous call had been placed for a house fire at the same location. The
Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) also responded and is currently
investigating the cause of the fire.
Davis is also charged with Second Degree Assault.
