Marlboro, MD… The
Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Tuesday of Michael
Jenkins, who was on the Prince George’s Crime Solvers Most Wanted list, on separate
arrest warrants for Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear for Court,
issued by the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, MD, on March 28, 2005.
According
to the warrants, Jenkins violated the terms of his probation for handgun
charges and failed to appear in court after being charged with eluding law
enforcement – arrest warrants for both were issued in 2005.
Deputies
investigating the whereabouts of Jenkins received an anonymous tip Tuesday,
stating that Jenkins was located in a building on Old Marlboro Pike, Upper
Marlboro, MD. Warrant deputies went to the building, located Jenkins, and
apprehended him as he attempted to flee out of a side door.
Deputies
conducting a search of Jenkins following the arrest, located, what appeared to
be, several packages of marijuana - he was subsequently charged with a
Controlled Dangerous Substance violation by the County Police. Deputies also
determined that Jenkins had a Felony Assault warrant, obtained by the Maryland
State Police on October 9, 2004.
Jenkins
was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections –
charged with Violation of Probation, Failure to Appear, First Degree Assault,
and has pending Controlled Dangerous Substance charges.
