Deputies Arrest Felony Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest Monday of Ignacio Gomez on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the Bladensburg Police Department (BPD) on December 20, 2012.

According to the warrant, Gomez used a vehicle to assault a female victim on December 19, 2012, in the 4200 block of 58^th Ave, Bladensburg, MD. The victim, who was five months pregnant, sustained multiple injuries as a result of being pulled alongside the vehicle that Gomez was operating.

Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Gomez were led to the 6200 block of Crain Hwy. in Bowie, MD, where he was located and apprehended without incident.

The BPD was notified of the arrest and Gomez was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Second degree assault.
