Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George's County
Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of
Rashon Parham of Bladensburg, MD on an arrest warrant for CDS Possession with
Intent to Distribute that was obtained by the Bladensburg Police Department on
June 25, 2014.
According to the warrant, on June 16th
, in the 5000 block of 57th
Avenue in Bladensburg, MD - an area that was under surveillance for drug trafficking
- Parham is alleged to have approached the passenger side of a vehicle where he
appeared to make a hand-to-hand exchange of an unknown amount of US currency
for a small item consistent with the size and shape of a Controlled Dangerous
Substance (CDS) packaging. The warrant
indicates that the vehicle was stopped, and CDS was recovered that field tested
positive for Marijuana.
The warrant further indicates that
Parham was previously observed on June 10th in the 5700 block of
Emerson Street where he completed a similar
transaction less than 1000 feet
away from Elizabeth Seton High School. When approached by officers, Parham fled
on foot.
On September 8th
warrant deputies received information that Parham was in the Hyattsville area. Canvassing
the area, they spotted Parham in the 3800 block of Hamilton Street in
Hyattsville. Deputies apprehended Parham and placed him into custody without
incident. He was transported to
Hyattsville Regional Unit for processing.
Parham is also
being charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute, Possession of
marijuana, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and CDS Possession with Intent to
Distribute on School Property.
