According to the warrant, in the early
morning of November 5th, in the 8500 block of Fulton Avenue in
Glenarden, MD, Huff set fire to her mattress inside a home that was occupied by
three other individuals and left. The occupants were alerted to the fire by the
alarm of the smoke detector; the fire caused damage to the residence of
approximately $8,000.00. The warrant also states that on December 10th,
Huff went to the Prince George’s County Police District IV station and told the
clerk that she had caused the fire. Fire Marshall Investigators responded and
interviewed her.
Upon receipt of the warrant, Deputies
went to the residence and noticed Huff walking toward the home. They took her
into custody without incident. Huff was transported to the Prince George’s
County, MD Department of Corrections.
Huff is also charged with Arson in the
Second Degree, Malicious Burning First Degree, and Malicious Destruction of
Property.
