According to the warrant, on December
17th, Die-Gueye was driving on East
West Highway where he was stopped by the police for driving with a missing headlight.
The officer approached the car and smelled the strong odor of marijuana.
Die-Gueye was asked to exit the vehicle; when he did so the officer saw a small
amount of marijuana on the floor. The
officer searched the vehicle where he located a digital scale and a significant
amount of marijuana. The warrant further states that after being read his
rights, Die-Gueye gave verbal and written consent to go to his residence for
his identification and told the officers where he had more marijuana and a gun.
The marijuana that was confiscated had an estimated street value of over
$3400.00 dollars.
Upon receiving the warrant, the deputies’
investigation determined that Die-Gueye could be located in the 3500 block of
Toledo Terrace, in Hyattsville, MD. When
deputies responded to the address they spotted the suspect looking out of the
back window. A female opened the door and Die-Gueye was taken into custody and
transported to the Prince George’s County, MD Department of Corrections for
processing.
Die-Gueye
was also charged with Firearm Drug Traffic Crime, CDS Distribution with a
Firearm, CDS Possession of Marijuana, and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia.
