Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/ Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Charles Bailey of Beltsville, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by Prince George’s County Police on January 20th.
On January 8th, in the 4700
block of Cardinal Avenue in Beltsville, MD, Bailey was involved in an argument
and the victim stated that “she woke up to a bloody face”. According to the
warrant the victim had been assaulted while she was asleep and the officer
observed several bruises, swelling and lacerations to her face. The warrant
states that Bailey fled the location before the police arrived. The warrant
further states that the victim was transported to a local hospital, where she
was treated for her injuries.
Upon receiving the warrant on January 26th,
the Deputies’ investigation determined that Bailey was still in the 4700 block
of Cardinal Avenue in Beltsville, MD. When the warrant deputies went to the
location and knocked on the door Bailey came to a window and identified himself.
Bailey was persuaded to open the basement door and was taken into custody and
transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Bailey is also charged with Assault
Second Degree.
