Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Second Degree Child Abuse Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Deonne Mathis of Hyattsville, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Second Degree Child Abuse obtained by County Police on February 24, 2015. 

According to the warrant, Mathis and another individual abused a female victim at a residence in the 2000 block of Columbia Place in Landover, MD, on November 1, 2014.

On March 12, 2015, the deputies’ investigation determined that Mathis could be found at the home where the incident occurred. When deputies responded to the address they spotted the suspect through a kitchen window. Deputies knocked on the door and she identified herself. Mathis was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

 Mathis is also charged with Neglect of Minor and Second Degree Assault.
