Upper Marlboro, MD...The Sheriff's Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrest.
Burglary First Degree Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Weiner of Capitol Heights, MD, on an arrest warrant for First
Degree Burglary that was obtained by the Prince George’s County Police
Department on February 10, 2015.
According to the warrant, On June 26,
2010, a home was burglarized in the 5000 block of Rugged Lane in Capitol Heights,
MD. During the burglary, Weiner cut himself while entering the home which left
his DNA as evidence.
On February 24, 2015, deputies’
investigation led them to the residence of a friend in search of Weiner. An
occupant of the home allowed the deputies to enter the residence where they
located Weiner hiding in the master bedroom. He was taken into custody without
incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Weiner is also charged with Third Degree
Burglary, Theft less than $10,000 and Malicious Destruction of Property.
Attempted
First Degree Murder
According to the warrant, Daniels got into
an argument with a friend over the purchase of cigarettes. During the altercation, Daniels took out a
pocket knife and stabbed the man in the chest. Deputies attempted multiple
times to locate Daniels and left contact information. On March 1st, Daniels
called the Sheriff’s Office and after speaking with deputies, turned himself in
at the County Department of Corrections (DOC) for processing.
Daniels is also charged with First and Second
Degree Assault.
