Upper
Marlboro, MD… The City of Hyattsville, a partner in this year’s “Purple Light Nights®” community
campaign to raise awareness and a unified voice against domestic violence
during Domestic Violence Month in October bathed its City Administration/
Police Department building in purple light.
“Chief
Holland and the City of Hyattsville are good partners with whom we share common
goals for the safety and well-being of the members of the community. We’re
delighted the city joined the Purple Light Nights campaign and we look forward
to working with them throughout the year,” said Sheriff Melvin High.
The Office
of the Sheriff launched “Purple Light Nights®” in Maryland in 2014, connecting
Prince George’s County and the state with a list of cities and counties in over
30 states, and in Canada and 18 villages in Guam. The Purple Light Nights name
