NAIFA/Sheriff “Teddy Bear” Partnership Continues #PGSO
“We are so grateful to NAIFA and to Gary Beall whose enthusiasm for this project is awe-inspiring,” said Chief Assistant Sheriff Darrin Palmer, who has maintained a partnership with NAIFA over the last fifteen years. “These teddy bears help to provide some comfort to children during an otherwise chaotic situation; to calm and put a smile on a child’s face in these difficult circumstances makes our job easier.”

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Extradited

According to the warrant, on October 21, in the 9000 block of East Hampton Drive in Capitol Heights, Md., Brown approached a couple while sitting in a parking lot. Upon arrival, Brown is alleged to have pointed a handgun at the victim and fired, striking one of the victims’ in the neck, after which he fled the scene.
The warrant indicates that one of the victims was known to Brown.
Brown is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder (2x), First and Second Degree Assault (2x), and Firearm Use/Felony Violent Crime.
First Degree Burglary Suspect Arrested

Deputies’ made several attempts to locate Jackson; on November 4th, Sheriff’s deputies located Jackson in the 8000 block of Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, MD. Jackson answered the door, cooperated and was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections (DOC) for processing.
Jackson is also charged Theft 1,000 to under 10,000.

GOCCP Grant Funds Support PGSO Violent Offender Warrant Operation (395 Arrests Close 495 Warrants) #PGSO

focused these resources on criminals who use deadly weapons in the commission
of a crime,” said Captain Randall Cooper, Assistant Bureau Chief of Criminal
Operations. “Our contribution to crime reduction is reducing violent offender
crime by investigating the whereabouts of and arresting violent offenders; the
support from GOCCP is a tremendous help to this effort.”

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Karongan
Sacko of Hyattsville, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First
Degree Murder obtained by the Hyattsville Police department on October 15,
2015.
On October 19th Sheriff’s deputies knocked on the door of Sacko’s residence on Belcrest road where they were allowed entry by a relative. Sacko was located inside the residence and taken into custody without incident; he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Sacko is also charged with Assault First Degree and Assault
Second Degree.

On October 28th Sheriff deputies went to Capitol
Heights and knocked on the door of a known friend of Casson’s. The owner of the
residence opened the door and was asked if Casson was there. The suspect came down the stairs and was placed into
custody without incident. He was
transported to County Police District III Detectives.
Casson is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder,
Assualt First Degree, Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime, Assault Second Degree,
Reckless Endangerment, and Handgun on Person.
