Warrant/Fugitive
Division Felony Arrest Report
First
Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Trayona
Cunningham of Falls Church, VA on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault
obtained by County Police on February 23, 2016.
According to the warrant, on January
13, 2016, Cunningham was in the 1900 block of Brooks Drive in District Heights,
MD where she and 3 accomplices approached two individuals in an apartment
building stairwell, one with whom Cunningham had previously been friends. The
warrant further states that one of the accomplices pulled out a gun and held it
to the throat of one of the victims and demanded money and drugs, while a
second accomplice pulled out and pointed a gun at the second victim. As the
victims backed away in an attempt to get back into their apartment, Cunningham
and the other suspects allegedly forced their way into the apartment and fought
with the victims, while a person inside the apartment told them that the police
had been contacted. Cunningham and the other suspects fled the apartment.
Upon receipt of the warrant the deputies’
investigation led them to an address in the 500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard in
Falls Church, VA. Deputies contacted the
Fairfax County Police in an attempt to locate Cunningham and on March 8th
they notified deputies that she was in custody awaiting extradition. Prince
George’s County Police Detectives were notified.
Cunningham is also charged with three
additional counts of First Degree Assault, two counts of Armed Robbery, First
Degree Attempted Burglary, and Malicious Destruction of Property
