Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Travis McDade of District Heights, MD, on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the County Police on March 8, 2016.

Deputies’ received the warrant, on March 8th, and during their investigation discovered that McDade was scheduled to appear in court on April 1st for an unrelated matter. Deputies went to the court room and, McDade’s case was completed they took him into custody and transported him to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
McDade is also charged with First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Handgun on Person.
First Degree Arson Suspect Arrested

According to the warrant, on November 9, 2015, Fire Department and County Police Officers responded to 11000 block of Twinlakes Drive in Beltsville, MD, for a domestic dispute involving a fire inside an apartment. The warrant states that Reed used tape and a plastic bag to cover up the smoke detector prior to setting the carpet on fire, after which he fled the scene.
On April 8, 2016, Domestic Violence Intervention Division (DVID) deputies responded to another domestic dispute involving Reed in the 5000 block of Suitland Road in Suitland, MD. Deputies from the warrant squad responded to the scene when they recognized Reed’s name on the radio. Reed was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Department of Corrections for processing.
Reed is also charged with First Degree Malicious Burning, First and Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
