Robbery Suspect and Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested #PGSO

Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report
Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Coloshus Haynes, of Oxon Hill, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery obtained by County Police on May 25, 2016.
 
According to the warrant, on May 8th, Haynes was in the 6300 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill, MD where he was allegedly involved in a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian. According to the warrant the victim stated that Haynes had purchased flowers from him earlier and came back a few minutes later and asked if he had change for a $100 dollar bill. When the victim tried to hand him the change Haynes grabbed the money and began to drive away with the victim’s arms still inside the window. The victim was transported to the local hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

The warrant was received on May 25th and deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill, MD. Deputies went to the location at which Haynes answered the door. He was advised of the open warrant for his arrest, taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Haynes is also charged with Con-Robbery, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, and Theft less than $1000.

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Vincent Murrill, of Oxon Hill, MD on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder that was obtained by the County Police on June 24, 2016.

The Warrant states that on June 23rd, Murrill was in the 900 block of Marcy Avenue in Oxon Hill, MD when he was in an argument that turned physical.  According to the warrant Murrill allegedly placed the person in a head lock taking the victim down to the floor and began to strangle the victim. Murrill released the victim and left the scene when witnesses yelled at him and banged on the door.

On June 24th, a warrant for Murrill was received by the Sheriff’s Office and deputies’ investigation determined that Murrill could be located at his work address on Auth Road, in Marlow Heights, MD. Deputies went to the location and found Murrill at work. He was advised of the warrant, taken into custody without incident and transported to Prince George’s County Police Departments District 3 for questioning.

Murrill is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and False Imprisonment.
