Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Extradited
Sheriff’s deputies extradited Rodrico Jenkins of District Heights, MD back to Prince George’s County, MD on October 21th, 2016 from the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange, VA. Jenkins was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder issued on August 17th, 2016 by the District Court of Prince George's County.
According to the warrant, on August 16th police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Drum Avenue in Capitol Heights, MD. Jenkins was involved in an argument with two males when he allegedly pulled and pointed a gun, fired it and fled the scene. The warrant states that the argument was related to an ongoing family issue and that Jenkins had previously made threats to the family.
Jenkins is also charged with Attempted Second Murder, First and Second Degree Assault and Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime.
First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Keon Watson of Suitland MD, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by County Police on October 06, 2016.
According to the warrant, on October 5th, Watson was engaged in an argument that turned into a fight with a male in the 8600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Glenarden, MD. During the altercation, Watson allegedly produced a handgun and shoved it into the male victim’s side, after which he fled the scene. The warrant further states that after further investigation, the County Police executed a search and seizure for Watson’s apartment and recovered controlled dangerous substances and weapons.
Upon receiving the warrant on October 11th, Sheriff Deputies located Watson at a residence in the 4000 block of Suitland Road in Suitland, MD. Watson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Watson was also charged with Second Degree Assault, CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics, Firearm use in a Felonious Violent Crime, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Illegal Possession Ammunition, Handgun on Person, and Theft less than $1,000.
