Robbery Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested William Butler and Koran Anthony of Capitol Heights, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery that was obtained by the Greenbelt Police Department on April 19, 2017.
The Warrant states that on April 17, 2017, at a shopping mall in the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road in
Greenbelt, a male arranged to meet a female after they met on social media. As they walked out of the mall Butler and Anthony, with two women, approached the male victim, and are alleged to have pushed him down and kept him down while they kicked and punched him. They are also alleged to have taken his belongings, including approximately $1000.00. The warrant states that the male victim knew Anthony.
Upon receipt of a another warrant on April 28th, deputies’ investigation determined that Anthony could be located in the 4600 block of Sharon Road in Temple Hills, MD. Deputies went to the residence and left contact information for Anthony who was not home at the time. Deputies were later contacted by a family member who arranged for him to turn himself in to deputies at the Prince George’s County Detention Center, where he was arrested and transported to Prince George’s County Department of Corrections for processing.
Later that day, deputies determined that Butler who was also staying at the residence in the 4600 block of Sharon Road in Temple Hills, MD. Upon arrival, they noticed someone leaving the property and were granted entry by the resident. Once inside, deputies advised Butler that they had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Butler and Anthony is also charged with Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Theft $1000 to under $10,000.
Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Keenan Richardson of New Carrollton, MD on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery that was obtained by the County Police on April 5, 2017.
According to the warrant, on April 1, 2017, Richardson and another suspect approached a male victim in the 5420 block of 56th Ave in Riverdale MD as he sat in his vehicle. Richardson is alleged to have displayed a handgun, struck the victim and demanded his property, after which he fled the scene.
On April 27, Deputies determined that Richardson could be located in the 7600 block of Vicar Place in New Carrollton, MD. They went to the residence where they arrested Richardson without incident and transported him to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections (DOC) for processing.
Richardson is also charged with First Degree Assault, Firearm use and Felony Violent Crime and Theft less than $1000.
