PUBLIC NOTICE
The assessment is administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) which assesses agency compliance with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. The session will be conducted in the Prince George's County Administration Building located at 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20772.
Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling (301)780-2576 on Tuesday, October 3rd, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment team.
Comments by telephone or during the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. A copy of the standards is available at the Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff Headquarters, located at 5303 Chrysler Way Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20772.
