Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report
First
Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
According to the warrant, on December
12th, police responded to the 3500 block of Belleview Avenue in
Hyattsville, MD. Once on scene the victim stated that Patton forced entry into
the residence and began to argue. Patton then allegedly physically assaulted
the victim before fleeing the residence.
Upon receipt of the warrant,
Sheriff’s Deputies investigation determined that Patton could be located in the
3500 block of Belleview Avenue. Deputies went to the location and informed Patton
that there was a warrant for his arrest. Patton was taken into custody without
incident and transported to Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Patton is also charged with Second
Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

The warrant states that on October
24th, Police responded to a local retail store in Laurel MD to meet with their loss
prevention department that had an employee (Vargas) in custody for alleged theft.
According to the warrant both Vargas and Grancea were observed on video
surveillance during each incident that Vargas let Grancea walk out of the store
with unpaid merchandise totaling over $2,300.
Both Vargas and Grancea are also
charged with Theft Scheme $1,500 - $25,000.

Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report
First
Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
The warrant states that on November
7th, police responded to the 9300 block of Edmonston Road in Greenbelt,
MD for the report of a violent domestic incident. Once on scene the victim
stated that he was arguing with Sow when Sow grabbed a knife and began to run
towards him. A witness at the scene confirmed the victim’s account of the
incident.
An investigation by Sheriff Deputies
determined that Sow could be located at the residence where the incident
occurred. Deputies went to the location; Sow answered the door, was informed of
the warrant, after which he was placed into custody and transported to the Prince George’s County, MD Department of
Corrections without incident.
Sow is also charged with Assault
Second Degree.

Ball, PH.D hosted Colonel Darrin Palmer a graduate of the school to present the Teddy Bears for the Sheriff''s Domestic Violence Intervention division (DVID). Domestic Violence Deputies give the bears to children on domestic violence calls to help comfort them. #PGSOisEverywhere

Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO
Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Darryl Harris-Simmons, of Fort Washington, MD on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder that was obtained by the Maryland-National Capital Park Police on November 15, 2017.
The Warrant states that on November 13, 2017, at a community center in the 13400 block of Buchanan Drive in Fort Washington, Md. Harris-Simmons arranged a meeting with three other individuals to purchase a pair of shoes. During the transaction, Harris-Simmons, along with a male accomplice allegedly pointed a gun at the victims and demanded the victims’ property. As the driver attempted to flee, Harris-Simmons is alleged to have shot at the fleeing vehicle causing both victims serious injury. Harris-Simmons was later positively identified from a photo array.
Upon Sheriff’s deputies’ investigation, on November 22nd , Sheriff’s Deputies spoke with a Prince George’s County officer who advised that he was familiar with Harris- Simmons, having previously been to his residence on other matters. Deputies arrived in the 13200 block of Lenfant Drive in Fort Washington MD where a resident opened the door and allowed deputies to enter. Deputies asked for the name of a male who stood in the foyer. After confirming that he was Darryl Harris-Simmons, deputies informed Harris-Simmons of the warrant for his arrest, after which he was taken into custody without incident and transported Maryland National Capitol Park Police CID unit.
Harris-Simmons is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, First and Second Degree Assault and Firearm use and Felony Violent Crime.

According to the warrant, on November 07, in the 6400 block of Hilmar Drive in District Heights, MD Cofield and a female became involved in an argument that turned physical. Cofield is alleged to have spit on the victim, pointed a gun at her and fired several shots in her direction; he left the scene before police arrived.
Upon receipt of the warrant, Sheriff’s Deputies went to the location of the incident. A resident opened the door and allowed deputies to enter the home. Deputies advised Cofield of the warrant, and he was taken into custody without incident and transported to District 3 CID for questioning.
Cofield is also charged with Assault Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment, Firearm use and Felony Violent Crime and Handgun on a Person.

Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO
Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gregory Ross of Laurel, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery that was obtained by the Laurel Police Department on November 08, 2017.
According to the warrant, on October 20, 2017, in the 7900 block of Crows Nest Court in Laurel, MD, Ross and another suspect allegedly robbed a male victim at gunpoint while in his apartment. According to the warrant, Ross is alleged to have pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his money, after which they fled the scene. The warrant further states that the male victim owed Ross for the purchase of narcotics sale which occurred a month prior to the incident.
On November 29, 2017, deputies’ investigation determined that Ross could be located at a hotel in the 3500 block of Old Annapolis Road in Laurel, MD. Deputies went to the hotel where Ross was located and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Upper Marlboro Department of Corrections for processing.
Ross is also charged with Robbery, First and Second Degree Assault and Theft of $100 to under $1,500.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Luis Sorto of Hyattsville MD., on an arrest warrant for Burglary First Degree that was obtained by County Police by November 7, 2017.
According to the warrant, Sorto was alleged to have entered a residence by prying open the rear door in the 2000 block of Ravenswood Street in Hyattsville Md. Sorto entered the home without permission where he stole jewelry which valued at approximately $2,000.00. He fled the scene.
On November 7th, Deputies’ investigation revealed that Sorto was in the 830 of Berkshire Drive in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies responded, took him into custody after which he was transported to Prince George’s Police Department District I station for questioning. Sorto is also charged with Theft $1,500 to under $25,000.
