Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

  CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Suspect Arrested

The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff reported the capture of Cortia Edmonds of Oxon Hill, MD on an arrest warrant for CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute obtained by the County Police on July 2, 2018.

According to the warrant, on April 16, police responded to a pharmacy located in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights MD for a report of theft. Upon arrival they spoke with the store’s Asset Protection Leader who stated that they had surveillance footage of Edmonds taking prescription drugs Alprazolam and Promethazine with Codeine. The warrant also states that Edmonds informed the officer that she had stolen over thirty bottles since October 2017 with a store value of over $9,500 dollars and a street value of approximately $45,000 dollars.

Sheriff’s Deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill MD where Edmonds was located, taken into custody and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

Edmonds is also charged with CDS Possession not Marijuana, CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute, Prescription obtained by Fraud, Theft $1500-$25000, and Theft Scheme $1500-$250.

Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Angel Quinteros-Calles of Hyattsville, MD on an arrest warrant for Robbery that was obtained by the County Police on June 7, 2018.

The Warrant states that on May 18th officers responded to the 1600 block of University Blvd in Hyattsville MD where they were approached by a woman who advised that she had been punched after refusing to give up her purse. The man, and at least one other suspect escaped in a vehicle.

On July 20, 2018, deputies went to an address in the 1400 block of University Blvd in Hyattsville, MD where they were granted entry by a resident. Once inside deputies advised Quinteros-Calles that they had a warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. Quinteros-Calles is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Theft less than $1000.
