Attempted First-Degree Murder Suspect Arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies

                           WARRANT/FUGITIVE DIVISION FELONY ARREST REPORT

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Manuel Enrique- Mendoza on June 12, 2019 for an Attempted First-degree Murder warrant that was obtained by the County Police on June 6, 2019.


According to the warrant, on June 2, 2019 Manuel Enrique- Mendoza arrived in the 5800 block of Coolidge street, Capitol Heights, MD. Manuel Enrique-Mendoza arrived during his wife’s custody exchange with her ex-husband. At the location Mendoza is alleged to have blocked the victim’s vehicle from leaving the area with his vehicle. Mr. Mendoza is further alleged to have produced a knife and cut the male victim, after which he fled the scene.


Deputies investigating the whereabouts of Manuel Enrique- Mendoza were led to a residence in
5800 block of Coolidge Street, Capitol Heights, MD. He was taken into custody and
transported to County Department of Corrections where he will await trial.

In addition to Attempted First- Degree Murder, Mendoza is also charged with Attempted Second -Degree Murder, First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon with intent to injure.
