PGSO Leads Arrests In 17th Clackamas County National Family Violence Sweep!

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff reported nine additional arrests related to the 17th annual Clackamas County National Family Violence Apprehension Sweep, bringing its total arrests during the October 24th operation to 58 arrests to close 77 warrants.

The 2019 results make the Office of the Sheriff #1 in arrests of all participating agencies in the country and continues a tradition of being among the leaders in results over the last nine years. Of the additional nine arrests, Major John Carr said deputies conducted several follow-up investigations and that some people turned themselves in after being notified about an outstanding warrant.

“We look forward to participating in the Clackamas County Sweep as a part of our focus during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and we are pleased by the exceptional additional follow-up efforts made by deputies that resulted in the additional arrests and closure of an additional 18 warrants,” said Major Carr.
