According to the warrant, on June 9th
, police were conducting proactive patrols in the 2400 Block of Southern Ave, in Temple Hills, MD. While in the area, an officer observed Miller driving without a front tag. Police stopped Miller, and while requesting his license, observed a gun in plain view. When police asked him to show his hands, he refused, forcibly accelerated the vehicle, momentarily dragging an officer before striking another officer with the vehicle causing injury. Miller then fled in the vehicle escaping police. Police were able to identify Miller by his driver’s license provided during the stop.On June 15th, deputies spoke with Miller by phone, notified him of the warrant, and convinced him to turn himself in. Deputies coordinated a location to meet, where he was served the warrant, placed into custody and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.
Miller is also charged with two counts of Second-Degree Assault, three counts of Reckless Endangerment, three counts of Obstructing and Hindering and Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order.
