Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Gregory David Culter, on August 10, 2022, on two warrants for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on August 4 and August 6, 2022.

According to the warrant, on August 4, 2022, police responded to an address in the 7200 block of Crafford Place, Fort Washington, MD., for a domestic home invasion. Culter allegedly harassed and called the victim multiple times before arriving at the residence unannounced and pulling out a firearm and threatening to kill the victim. Before police arrived, Culter fled the scene with the victim’s personal property. Culter was also charged in a separate incident on July 30, 2022, where he was alleged to have assaulted the victim before vandalizing their vehicle. Through their investigation, police were able to identify Culter as the suspect in both incidents.          

On August 10, 2022, deputies determined that Cutler was located at an address in the 2200 block of Alice Avenue in Oxon Hill, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and the resident answered, allowing them to enter the home. Once inside, Culter was identified, served with the warrant, and safely transported to Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department without incident.

Culter is also charged with 2 counts of First-Degree Assault, 3 counts of Second-Degree Assault, Home Invasion, Armed Robbery, Robbery, Firearm Use/Felony-Violence Crime, Possession of a Firearm Minor, Handgun on Person, Electronic Communication Harass, Burglary-4th Degree-Dwell, and Misuse of Telephone and Repeat Calls.
