Deputies Arrested Attempted First-Degree Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Gabrielle Marie Estevez, on July 26, 2022, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Assault obtained by county police on May 19, 2022.  

According to the warrant, on May 9, 2022, police responded to the 6600 block of Adelphi Road in Hyattsville, MD, for a reported vandalism. When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who stated she was involved in a road rage incident. Allegedly Estevez used a weapon to threaten the victim and vandalize the vehicle causing major damage. The victim was able to escape and call the police who were able to identify Estevez as the suspect through their investigation.  

On July 26, 2022, deputies determined that Estevez was located at an address in the 6100 block of 42^nd Street in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and Estevez answered, allowing them to enter the home. Once inside, Estevez was identified, served with the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident. Prince George’s County Police Detectives were notified.

Estevez is also charged with Second-Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Malicious Destruction of Property Value of less than $1,000.
