Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Taejon Lamont Douglas on September 23, 2022, and Keith Jeremiah Brodie on September 26, 2022, on a warrant for Carjacking obtained by police on September 16, 2022.
According to the warrant, on July 14th, police responded to the 8100 Block of East Nalley Rd. in
Landover, MD, for the report of a carjacking. Police arrived and spoke with a victim who reported working for a ride-share company. After arriving at the location to pick up a customer, Douglas, Brodie, and a third suspect allegedly arrived in a vehicle and pulled in front of the victim’s car, blocking them in. At that time, Douglas, Brodie, and the third suspect allegedly entered the victim’s vehicle and began to physically assault them using a firearm. The suspects gained control of the vehicle after dragging the victim out of the car before fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was treated at a local hospital for injuries. Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify Douglas and Brodie as two of the suspects.On September 23rd, deputies determined that Douglas could be located at an address in the 4100 Block of Bluebird Dr. in Waldorf, MD. When deputies knocked, a resident answered, allowing them to enter the home. Once inside, deputies identified Douglas, served him the warrant, and placed him into custody. On September 26, Brodie was located at an address in the 6800 Block of Central Ave, in Capitol Heights, MD. Deputies knocked, and Brodie answered and was served the warrant and also placed into custody. Both Suspects were safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.
Both suspects were
charged with Armed Carjacking, First Degree Assault, Felony Firearm Use, Armed
Robbery, Robbery, Second-Degree Assault, Theft $1,500 to under $25,000, Un
lawful
Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Unauthorized Removal, and Rogue and Vagabond.
