Warrant Squad Arrests Attempted Second Degree Murder Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD...The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant Squad arrested Adrian Wilkerson this morning on an Attempted Second Degree Murder warrant obtained on June 1, 2012 by County Police (PGPD) District IV detectives .

According to the warrant, on May 31, 2012, in the 1400 block of Potomac Heights Drive in Fort Washington Wilkerson and another male engaged in a verbal dispute. At some point, Wilkerson is alleged to have pulled a handgun, and firing several shots before and while fleeing the location.

Additional investigative efforts to locate Wilkerson led Deputies to the 900 block of Little Stone Drive in Fort Washington. Wilkerson was found hiding inside the residence; he was taken into custody without incident and transported to District IV detectives.

In addition to Attempted Second Degree Murder, Wilkerson is charged with First and Second Degree Assault, Handgun on Person and Firearm Use in the Commission of a Crime of Violence.
