Deputies Arrest Felony Assault Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD…  The Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest yesterday of Anthony Posey, on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by Greenbelt City Police Department on March 5, 2013

According to the warrant, Posey was involved in a verbal dispute with his estranged wife on March 5, 2013, in the 7500 block of Mission Dr. Lanham, MD.  Following the verbal dispute, Posey attempted to ram his vehicle into his estranged wife’s car as she was driving west on Greenbelt Rd.  Once he realized she was headed to the Greenbelt Police Station, he fled the scene.

Deputies investigating his whereabouts were led to the 10800 block of Hanna St. in Beltsville, MD, where he was apprehended without incident.

 The Greenbelt City Police Detective was notified of Posey’s arrest, and he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections – charged with First and Second Degree Assault.
