Sheriff Melvin C. High joined Vice President Joe Biden and Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. yesterday in urging Congress to act on legislation aimed at reducing gun violence. Sheriff High, an invited guest of the Vice President, made opening remarks to an audience of mostly Law Enforcement executives from around the country before introducing the Attorney General. The Attorney General and the Vice President urged Congress to act on gun legislation aimed at the implementation of universal background checks for the purchase of guns. Following the press conference, Sheriff High was invited to Vice President Biden’s Office for more discussion on the legislation.
As a P.G. county employee who has been required to take a county E_mail security and guideline test for the last several years. One of the things strictly prohibited is the use of the county E-mail system for Political Uses. In this video the Sheriff seems to pushing his opinion on those who may disagree with it. Could this constitute a violation of the County E-mail guide lines? Or is this a case of do as I say not as I do.
