Today, as we
remember those who died in the 9/11 tragedy, our hearts are with their
families, loved ones and friends who keep their memories alive. This day lives
on in infamy, in the annals of American History. Whether as citizens or those engaged
directly in public safety, we must remain alert and aware of the potential harm
and hurt that some in our world would do. Today, I also thank the many public
safety agencies who stand guard to ensure our safety, particularly the men and
women of the Office of the Prince George’s County Sheriff.
