Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Derick Johnson of Bladensburg, MD, on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery obtained by the County Police on January 21, 2016.

According to the warrant, on September 20, 2015, in the 5000 block of 60th Ave in Hyattsville, MD, Johnson and another suspect approached a male victim while he walked to his car. Johnson allegedly pointed a gun to the victim’s head, searched through his pockets, and took the victims cell phone after which they fled the scene.

Upon receipt of the warrant, deputies’ investigation determined that Johnson could be located in the 3900 block of Warner Ave in Bladensburg, MD. Deputies went to the residence where Johnson was located and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Hyattsville Department of Corrections for processing.

Johnson is also charged with Theft less than $1000.

Third Degree Sex Offense Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christian Smith of Lanham, MD on an arrest warrant for Third Degree Sex Offense that was issued by the County Police on February 2, 2016.

According to the warrant, on January 1, 2016 in the 2000 block of Alstead Lane in Bowie, MD, Smith engaged in sexual contact with an underage victim. On February 8, 2016 deputies located Smith in the 9000 block of Good Luck Road in Lanham, MD, where he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
