Warrant/ Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Wilfredo Galvez of Oxon Hill, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by County Police on August 4, 2016.

According to the warrant, on August 4th 2016, Galvez and another man known to him were in a Home Depot parking lot in the 6000 block of Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill, MD. When Galvez is alleged to pulled an edged weapon and struck the victim in the head and face. The victim was bleeding as Galvez fled the scene. The warrant further states that the victim positively identified Galvez as his cousin, and said the two had a financial disagreement.

On August 22nd, Sheriff Deputies located Galvez at a residence in the 1000 block of White Oak Drive, Oxon Hill, MD, where he was taken into custody without incident and transported him to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Galvez is also charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Dangerous Weapon with Intent to Injure.

First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Briana Jennings of Upper Marlboro, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by County Police Department on August 2, 2016.

The warrant states that on July 22nd, Jennings allegedly assaulted a female victim outside her home in the 10000 block of Ashford in Upper Marlboro, MD. She is alleged to have grabbed a metal object and hit the female in the head, after which the victim went to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to the warrant the dispute was over a mutual acquaintance.

On August 22nd deputies arrived at Jennings residence where she was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

Jennings is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
