Attempted First and Second Degree Murder Suspects Arrested
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Warren Johnson of Lanham, MD, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by County Police Department on July 21, 2016.
According to the warrant, on July 17, 2016, Warren Johnson and Corey Johnson attended a party in the 3700 block of Ashboro Court, Fort Washington, MD. The Johnsons’ approached a male victim, who was the host of the party in an aggressive matter which turned physical. After the altercation, they quickly fled the scene and returned with a handgun, fired multiple rounds and struck the victim who was in his vehicle. The warrant further states that the suspects are cousins.
Sheriff’s deputies later arrested Corey Johnson of Clinton, MD who was wanted on an arrest warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder obtained by the County Police Department on August 11, 2016.
On August 17, after further investigation Sheriff Deputies along with Metropolitan Police Department located Warren Johnson in the 5900 block of Georgia Ave., Washington, DC. Johnson was taken into custody without incident and transported to Metropolitan Police Department 4th District Station.
Upon receiving the warrant, on August 18, Corey Johnson was located in the 11000 block of South Laurel Drive where he was taken into custody and transported to the Department of Corrections in Hyattsville for processing.
Both Warren Johnson and Corey Johnson are charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First and Second Degree Assault, Use of Handgun in the commission of a felony, Reckless Engagement, Handgun in vehicle, and Handgun on person.
