Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

 First Degree Assault Subject Arrested

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Angel Rosendo Guzman-Cedillo, of Hyattsville, MD on an arrest warrant for Assault First Degree obtained by the County Police on November 6^th, 2016.

The warrant states that on November 5th, police officers responded to the 8100 block of 14^th avenue in Hyattsville, MD for a report of an assault. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim who stated that he was asleep in bed when he was assaulted by Guzman-Cedillo. According to the warrant Guzman-Cedillo arrived home intoxicated and struck the victim on the head with a metal pole as he slept. The victim suffered a laceration to his head but was able to call 911.

Deputies went to the address where the incident occurred after determining that Guzman-Cedillo was staying at the residence. Deputies were granted entry and once inside a deputy observed a man matching the description of Guzman-Cedillo who attempted to flee through a rear window. Positively identified as Guzman-Cedillo, he was advised of the warrant, taken into custody, and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

Guzman-Cedillo is also charged with second Degree Assault.

 First Degree Assault Suspect Extradited

Sheriff’s Deputies extradited William McKinney (alias Brandon Bogtick) of Fort Washington, MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault that was obtained by the County Police on September 12, 2014.

 

The Warrant states that on September 11, McKinney entered a 7-Eleven store in the 4900 block of Silver Hill Road and displayed a handgun. McKinney demanded money from the clerk and threatened to shoot her if she did not comply. McKinney stole approximately $50 dollars from the register before fleeing in an unknown direction. The incident was captured by surveillance video.

Deputies went to the Clinton Correction Facility in Dannemora, NY to extradite McKinney who was being held on a detainer filed by Prince George’s County Maryland District Court for the First Degree Assault Charge. On November 8^th he was transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

McKinney is also charged with Armed Robbery.
