Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Assault First Degree Suspect
According
to the warrant, Smith communicated via an online app with one of the victims in
order to set up the robbery. On December 6th Smith entered a
commercial business located in the 9900 block of Hillandale Way in Bowie,
Maryland. Smith, with another unidentified suspect is alleged to have produced
a handgun and demanded property. The warrant also states that Smith was
identified on video surveillance; the stolen items are valued at over $60,000
dollars.
Smith turned himself in at the Sheriff
Office headquarters on January 21st where he was taken into custody,
served the warrant, and safely transported to Prince George's County Department
of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, Maryland without incident.
Smith is also charged with 2 counts of First-Degree
Assault, 2 counts of Armed Robbery, 3 counts of Robbery, 2 counts of reckless Endangerment
and Theft.

Deputies Arrest Theft Suspect
According to the warrant,
on December 16th, officers responded to the 4900 block of Marlboro
Pike in Capitol Heights, MD for the report of a theft from a liquor store. Once
on scene, the officers met with an employee who stated that three unknown
suspects walked in and stole two lottery scratch off containers from the
counter with an approximate value of $7,250 before fleeing the scene. The
incident was also captured on surveillance cameras.
Sheriff’s Deputies
investigations led them to an address in the 1000 block of Glen Willow Dr. When
deputies knocked on the door, Redd answered and was served the warrant, taken into
custody and transported to the Prince George's County Department of
Corrections.

Sheriff’s Deputies Extradite First Degree Assault Suspect from Florida
Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the extradition of Cedric Duvert on December 24, 2019, on a First-Degree Assault warrant obtained by County Police detectives on November 19, 2019.
In addition to First Degree Assault, Duvert is also charged with Second Degree Assault, Handgun on a Person and Reckless Endangerment.
According to the warrant, while at a vehicle repair shop in the 6800 block of Suitland Rd. in Suitland, MD, Duvert demanded that repairs to his vehicle take place at another location and became irate when the victim advised him that he was unable to leave the location at that time. The warrant further states that Duvert walked to a vehicle where he is alleged to have retrieved a handgun and threatened the victim by pointing the handgun at him. The warrant also says that the handgun Duvert held malfunctioned after which he fled the scene.
Sheriff’s Deputies were notified that Duvert had been located and was being held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After Duvert signed a waiver agreeing to be extradited back to Prince George’s County MD to stand trial, deputies served the warrant and took him into custody at the Broward County Main Jail in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Upon returning to Prince George's County with the suspect, deputies released Duvert into the custody of County Police detectives.
