Deputies Arrest Attempted First Degree Murder Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Jeremy Deandre Wilson on May 7, 2020, on a warrant for Attempted First Degree Murder obtained by the county police on May 5, 2020.

According to the warrant, on May 5, police were called for a report of vandalism that occurred in the 11600 block of North Star Drive in Fort Washington, MD. One of the victim’s advised that they had arranged to get property from a residence and upon leaving they noticed a vehicle following them. Soon after, the vehicle drove alongside them and Wilson, who was known to them, rolled down the window, displayed a handgun, and shot at them before fleeing the scene. 

On May 7, warrant squad deputies, conducting an investigation of the incident, observed Wilson sitting in a vehicle at the North Star Drive address. When deputies drove up behind the car and activated their emergency equipment, Wilson jumped out of the car and ran. Deputies searched the area and located Wilson in a back yard. He was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transferred to police detectives.

Wilson is also charged with First-Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm in the commission of a felony/ Crime of violence, Second-Degree Assault, Possession of a handgun on his person, Possession of a handgun in a vehicle and possession of a loaded handgun in a vehicle.
