Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect


Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Christian Dior Fairfax on May 8, 2020, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the county police on April 27, 2020.

According to the warrant, on April 26, police were called to the 9000 Block of Hummingbird Lane for a reported domestic assault involving a weapon. Upon arrival, police learned that Fairfax had a physical altercation with a family member in the house. A witness disclosed that during an argument, Fairfax threw a glass jar at the victim's face before repeatedly striking the victim with a barstool, causing severe injuries. After the assault, Fairfax fled the scene leaving the victim on the ground.

After checking with several neighbors, leaving business cards, and checking several locations, Fairfax contacted deputies and arranged to turn himself in. Fairfax was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro MD without incident.

Fairfax is also charged with Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
