Deputies Arrest Attempted Second Degree Murder Suspect

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Prince Ronald Williams on January 11, 2021, on a warrant for Attempted Second Degree Murder obtained by county police on January 9, 2021.

According to the warrant, on January 7th, a victim responded to the county police station in Oxon Hill, MD, to report that they had just been assaulted by someone who was known to be one of the victim’s child’s father. Police learned that the victims were all out shopping at a local store, when Williams arrived angry, accusing one of the victims of keeping his child away from him while he assaulted them with a weapon. One of the victims was transported to a hospital where they received treatment for their injuries. Detectives were able to identify Williams as the subject through their investigation.

On January 11th, deputies determined that Williams could be located at an address in the 6900 Block of Laurel Bowie Rd in Bowie, MD. Deputies arrived and observed Williams outside on the sidewalk. Deputies served him the warrant, took him into custody, and safely transported him to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Williams is also charged with First Degree Assault, two counts of Second-Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
