Deputies Arrest Aggravated Animal Cruelty Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Foday Bangalie Kabba on March 24, 2021, on a warrant for Aggravated Animal Cruelty obtained by county police on March 14, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 16, 2020, police responded to the 1800 Block of Dutch Village Dr. in Hyattsville for a reported animal cruelty incident. Upon arrival, police observed several dogs that were injured with no food or water in the home. Police learned that Kabba had allegedly beaten them with a wooden weapon causing injuries. Animal control responded to remove 17 dogs, some of which were puppies, from the residence. Police alongside animal control officers were able to identify Kabba as a suspect through their investigation.

On March 24th, deputies spoke with Kabba by phone, notified him of the warrant, and convinced him to turn himself in. Deputies coordinated a location to meet with him, where he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without incident.

Kabba is also charged with three counts of Animal Cruelty.
