Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Maxwell Vincent Garrison on March 17, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on March 10, 2021.

According to the warrant, on March 5th, police responded to the 6800 Block of Riverdale Rd. in Riverdale, MD, for a reported assault involving a weapon. When officers arrived, they learned that the victim had been involved in an argument with Garrison when he allegedly pulled out a firearm, pointing it at the victim’s head. In fear for his life, the victim fled the scene. Detectives were able to identify Garrison as the Suspect through their investigation.

On March 17th, deputies determined that Garrison could be located in the 4700 Block of John Rogers Blvd. in Upper Marlboro, MD. Deputies knocked on the door and spoke to a resident who answered, allowing them to enter the home. Deputies identified Garrison inside, where he was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD without incident.

Garrison is also charged with Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
