Deputies Arrest First Degree Murder Suspects

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Fabian Sokunchuo Tinsley and Sam Kamdem Mofor on March 15, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Murder obtained by the Laurel City Police Department on March 5, 2021.

According to the warrant, on January 30th, Laurel City Police responded to the 500 Block of Main St. in Laurel, MD, for a reported Burglary. When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased male shot multiple times inside the home. Detectives learned that Tinsley, and Mofor, alongside two other suspects, were alleged to have entered the home with masks, shooting the victim in a planned robbery before fleeing the scene. Detectives were able to identify Tinsley and Mofor as two of the suspects through their investigation.

On March 15th, deputies and members of the United States Marshals Service Capital Area Regionals Fugitive Taskforce (CARFTF) determined that Tinsley could be located at an address in Hyattsville, MD., and Mofor could be located at an address in Bowie, MD. The taskforce members simultaneously arrived along with Laurel City Police at both locations where Tinsley and Mofor were identified. Both Suspects were served with the warrants, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Laurel City Police Department without incident.

Tinsley and Mofor are also charged with Second Degree Murder, Home


Invasion, First Degree Assault, and Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime.
