Deputies Arrest Manufacture of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD The Office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Benedict Oladimeji Ola Otunba on March 5, 2021, on a warrant for Manufacture of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) obtained by county police on February 19, 2021.

According to the warrant on January 31st, Police responded to the 800 Block of Kayak Ave in Capitol Heights, MD for a reported assault, where a firearm was allegedly discharged. When officers arrived, they conducted a security sweep of the residence, where they learned that Otunba was growing marijuana in the home.

On March 5th, deputies responded to Otunba’s home located in Capitol Heights, MD. When deputies knocked on the door, Otunba answered allowing them to enter the home. Once inside, he was served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Otunba is also charged with CDS: Production Equipment, and CDS: Possession Paraphernalia.
