Deputies Arrest First Degree Assault Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The office of the Sheriff’s Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Alexis Jennifer Easter on June 3, 2021, on a warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by county police on April 28, 2021.

According to the warrant, on September 11, 2020, Detectives met with a minor victim, who disclosed that they were assaulted by Easter at a home in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Rd. in Greenbelt, MD. Detectives learned that Easter had allegedly began to abuse the child, after a verbal altercation pertaining to the minor victim’s cell phone. The victim was transported to the local hospital, where they received treatment for their injuries.

On June 3rd, deputies determined that Easter could be located at an address in the 2500 block of Whitehall St. in Suitland, MD. When deputies arrived, it was determined that Easter was not home. Deputies spoke with Easter by phone, notified her of the warrant, and convinced her to turn herself in. She was served the warrant, taken into custody, and safely transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Easter is also charged with Second Degree Child Abuse, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
