Division Felony Arrest Report
First Degree Assault Suspect Arrested
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Anthony Johnson, of Hyattsville,
MD on an arrest warrant for First Degree Assault obtained by the Mount Ranier
Police on October 11th, 2016.
According to the warrant, on October11th,
Mount Rainier Police officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Queens
Chapel Road in Mount Rainier, MD for a First Degree Assault call. Officers
arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who stated that she and Johnson were
arguing when Johnson pointed a gun at her and threatened to shoot her in front
of her family members. Johnson left the scene before the police arrived.
Upon receipt of the warrant,
Sheriff’s Deputies went to the address of the incident; a resident opened the
door and allowed them to enter. Deputies requested the name of a male who
walked into the room who replied that he was Anthony Johnson. He was informed
of the warrant, taken into custody without incident and transported to the
Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
Johnson is also charged with Assault
Second Degree Assault and Handgun on a Person.

The Warrant states that on October 31, a victim walked into
Southern Maryland Hospital suffering from a laceration on his left cheek. The
victim stated that Owens cut him on his face with a sharp object during an
argument.
On
November 1, Deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 5800 block of
Walker Mill Road in Capitol heights MD. When deputies knocked on the door they
were granted entry by a resident. Once inside deputies advised that they had a
warrant for Owens who was at the residence. She was taken into custody and transported
to the Prince George’s County Regional Processing Unit in Hyattsville without
incident.
Owens is
also charged with Second Degree Assault.
