Deputies Arrest Felony Theft $1,500 to Under $25,000 Suspect

 

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the arrest of Susan Olivia Percival on March 18, 2021, on a warrant for Theft of $1,500 to under $25,000 obtained by county police on December 24, 2020.

According to the warrant, on December 23, 2020, county police detectives alongside investigators with a local bank investigated Percival in a theft case. Police learned that Percival was alleged to have had an unknown individual deposit an altered $20,000.00 cashier’s check into her account. Percival allegedly had this same check altered and made out to her in a different amount and deposited, that she later withdrew from her bank. Detectives alongside investigators with the bank were able to identify Percival as the suspect through their investigation.

On March 18, deputies’ investigation led them to an address in the 3500 block of Longfellow St. in Hyattsville, MD. Deputies knocked and spoke with a resident who allowed them to enter the home. Once inside, they identified Percival, served her the warrant, placed her into custody, and safely transported her to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro, MD, without incident.

Percival is also charged with Theft Scheme: $1,500 To $25k, Forgery, Issuing a False Document, Issuing a Counterfeit Order, and Knowingly Obtaining Fraudulent Money.
